Employment Type : 3 month trial progressing to fixed-term contract

Location : Zalemart, Durban Central

Seniority Level : Entry-Mid Level

Required Experience, Skills, Values & Qualifications :

  • Successfully completed NQF Level 4/Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent
  • Fluent in speaking and understanding English and isiZulu
  • Minimum 1 year experience with promotions
  • General retail skills and product knowledge
  • Dynamic, smart, creative and hard-working individual with integrity
  • Ability to work from home if necessary : High speed internet, computer and smartphone.
  • Flexibility to work rotational shifts
  • Sober habits
  • Non - smoker


Advantageous Experience, Skills, Values & Qualifications :

  • General knowledge of spreadsheets 
  • General knowledge of e-commerce (preferably Shopify)
  • General knowledge of, and experience with, various POS and stock management systems

Roles (Including but not limited to) :

  • Customer Service
  • Cashiering
  • Merchandising
  • Cleaning and neatening
  • Social Media Management
  • Content creation, Live Videos On Site (May be on your own platform) and Modelling - Included in Pay
  • Social Media Promotions in your own time on your own platforms - Paid for Separately
  • Promoting - Includes a lot of standing
  • WhatsApp Customer Service
  • Cash and card sales processing using a POS
  • Online fulfilment of pickup orders on the Shopify backend - Picking, Checking, Communicating, Packing
  • Dealing with and resolving customer complaints and returns online and in-store
  • Warehouse tasks including quality control checks, finishing goods and picking orders
  • Manual labour
  • Online telesales

    Working Hours (Subject to change) - Not applicable to part time promoters :

    • Monday - Sunday : 7:00 - 17:40
    • Four off days per month (rotation basis)
    • Daily lunch break

    Pay and Benefits :

    • Basic Training Provided; Advanced Training Offered
    • Competitive, market-related basic salary based on skills and experience
      • Minimum Total Cost To Company : R4 000 per month
      • Maximum Total Cost To Company : R20 000 per month
      • Monthly commission bonus after 6 month trial
    • Paid annual leave after 6 month trial
