Employment Type : 3 month trial progressing to fixed-term contract
Location : Zalemart, Durban Central
Seniority Level : Mid-Senior Level
Required Experience, Skills, Values & Qualifications :
- Successfully completed NQF Level 4/Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent.
- Fluent in speaking, writing and understanding English
- Minimum 1 year experience with a premium retail brand
- Minimum 1 year experience using Shopify
- Experience at an online marketplace advantageous
- Experience in dropshipping advantageous
- People management skills
- Computer literacy
- General retail skills and product knowledge
- General knowledge of, and experience with, various POS and stock management systems (preferably Shopify)
- Basic knowledge of GSuite, including but not limited to Google Sheets and Google Docs
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts
- Ability to work from home if necessary : Uncapped home WiFi, laptop and smartphone.
- Dynamic, smart, creative and hard-working individual with integrity
- Own car and driver's license
- Sober habits
- Non - Smoker
- Excellent knowledge of e-commerce (including Shopify)
- Manage the online store :
- Set up store
- Register URLs and set up website hosting
- Set up and manage GSuite for organisations
- Register and set up a Shopify store
- Set up payment gateway integration
- Run daily store operations
- Basic graphic and web design tasks (preferably with Adobe Suite)
- Basic web development tasks
- Basic liquid code changes
- Basic HTML, Java and C++ changes
- Basic CSS changes
- Identify good products to sell online
- Product Photography
- Add products manually as well as import products using CSV files
- Create and arrange product collections
- Manage menu navigation
- Identify and set up common Shopify apps/plugins
- Create and fulfill in store, pickup and online orders
- Manage online inventory
- Manage shipping/logistics
- Content creation : Pages, Blogs, Social Media etc
- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Search Engine Marketing
- Social Media Marketing
- Conversion Rate Optimisations (CRO)
- Customer service and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Dealing with and resolving customer complaints and returns
- Online marketplace management - Inventory uploads, daily updates, supplier relationships
- Use Google Analytics, Tag Manager and Search Console for site and process optimisation
- In-Store customer Service
- In-Store cashiering
- WhatsApp Customer Service
- Cash and card sales processing using Shopify POS and Yoco POS
- Training, motivating and mentoring junior staff
- Managing and recruiting staff, merchandising, stock management, display management, event coordination.
Working Hours (Subject to change) :
- Monday - Saturday : 7:00 - 17:30
- Sundays : 7:00 - 16:30
- Four off days per month (rotation basis)
- Daily lunch break
Pay and Benefits :
- Competitive, market-related basic salary based on skills and experience
- Minimum Total Cost To Company : R5 000 per month
- Maximum Total Cost To Company : R15 000 per month
- Monthly commission bonus after 6 month trial
- Paid annual leave
